The Centre for Nursing & Midwifery Education & Research (CNMER) supports the provision of quality nursing and midwifery education and research. Its aim is to ensure nurses and midwives acquire knowledge and skills and participate in research that focuses on improving patient outcomes.
The Department of Bio-Medical Engineering is a joint unit of Flinders Medical Centre and the School of Medicine (SOM), Flinders University. The unit offers technical support and training to users of clinical and laboratory equipment both locally and internationally.
The Adelaide Central & Eastern Division of General Practice is developing a Practice Nurse Program to support and enhance the vital role that nurses play within the general practice team. Practice Nurses have access to Professional Development events, the monthly network meetings that are specific to practice nursing as well opportunities to attend General Practitioner CPD events and newly developed online programs.
The Department of Education and Children's Services (SA) and Catholic Education (SA) are developing Learning Management platforms and flexible learning resources for use in the schooling sector. Teachers require training in the use of the learning platforms and the resources to improve outcomes for students.
